The html compiled by gulp after jade is compressed. Do you want it uncompressed, can you control it?

  node.js, question

Attached is gulpfile.js

var gulp = require('gulp'),
 jade = require('gulp-jade');

 gulp.task('jade', function() {
 return gulp.src('**/*.jade')
 .pipe(jade())
 .pipe(gulp.dest('./'));
 });

 gulp.task('watch', function() {
 gulp.watch('**/*.jade', ['jade']);
 });

 // gulp.task('watch', function() {
 //     gulp.watch('./**/*.jade', function(e) {
 //         var p = e.path.replace(__dirname, '')
 //.replace (/\/[\/] plus?  \.jade$/, '/');
 //         gulp.src(e.path)
 //             .pipe(jade())
 // .pipe(gulp.dest ('.'plus p));
 //     });
 // });

 gulp.task('default', ['watch']);

Gulp-jade supports all options of jade cli, so pretty: true can solve your problem.
