I have compiled my own kernel, installed VMWare modules, and prompted Kernel headers not found.

  html5, question

I used my compiled kernel to install VMWare Player. The first time I started VMware, I was prompted to install modules, kernel headers for version 3.7.0-XXX not found.
If you are using the kernel that comes with the distribution, it is very simple, just install the kernel header related package. What about the kernel you compiled yourself? Is kernel headers in the kernel source package? Where is it?

If you have found a solution, just make a soft link.

ln -s /path/to/linux-3.7.0/include/generated/uapi/linux/version.h /path/to/linux-3.7.0/include/linux/version.h
