How can vim temporarily exit the insertion mode and enter the normal mode?

  question, vim

For example, sometimes I need to move the cursor when I finish typing the brackets. If I use the arrow to move it, the distance from my hand will be relatively long and a bit troublesome. However, if I press Esc first to return to the normal mode, there will be more keys pressed. Is there a key that is in the normal mode when I press it and the insert mode when I lift it?

May I know if there are any.

Or is there a way to switch quickly?

CTRL+O can temporarily enter the normal mode and automatically return to the insertion mode after pressing a command. I don’t know if I can meet your requirements.
