What are some good ideas for using “relativenumber” in Vim?

  question, vim

It does work, but it still feels a little side effect if you keep it on all the time.
Mapping a shortcut key feels a bit “redundant.”
Is there some kind of automated thinking?

Exactly how many rows to move up/down is more useful and feels suitable for small movements.

Line numbers are generally not used much, and large movements can be scrolled ortext-objectMove, press a few times and you are almost there.

How to use it depends on personal preference.
